The Salt Lake Tribune
The Salt Lake Tribune has been part of Utah’s cultural and civic life since 1871 and has long been the independent voice helping to bring accountability to Utah. Its mission today is to be an essential community resource.
In 2019, the Pulitzer Prize-winning Tribune was the first legacy newspaper in the United States to become a nonprofit. The outlet approaches its work with a public service lens, listening in communities before the reporting starts and striving to give voice to perspectives that have been silenced.
With support from the American Journalism Project, The Salt Lake Tribune seeks to be a statewide news organization, fully realizing our mission as the go-to news and information source for all Utahns.
