Locations: Louisville, Kentucky
Established: 1993

Louisville Public Media is one of the American Journalism Project’s two pilot investments in public radio, structured to explore public media’s role in filling the local news void.

Louisville Public Media is at a pivotal moment of growth, closing an expansion campaign centered on cementing Louisville Public Media as the go-to local news destination for its community for accountability, investigative and explanatory journalism as well as for breaking news.

With support from the American Journalism Project, the station will build core business infrastructure to sustain the expansion of its local newsroom, while laying the foundation for its next phase of growth as a new kind of local anchor news organization and civic institution.
