Christy Johnson

Christy serves as an administrative partner to the leadership team, collaborating across the organization to support internal operations, hiring processes, and event planning to advance the mission of the American Journalism Project.

Previously, Christy has supported dozens of organizations, in both an administrative and events capacity, in industries ranging from media and design to finance and scientific research. In addition to a bachelor’s degree in musical theatre, Christy holds a Professional Certificate in Event Management from The George Washington University. Outside of AJP, Christy is a professional actor and voice over artist, with a particular interest in creating audio description to promote greater accessibility to both live events and recorded media.

Christy is based in Sarasota, Florida.
