Alexis Price-Waddy

Communications Associate

Alexis develops and implements digital communications strategy at the American Journalism Project, managing content for social media and email while contributing to a range of broader marketing efforts.

She previously worked at the Institute for Nonprofit News (INN), where she developed dynamic web, social media and email content to engage nonprofit news organizations and supporters. Prior to that, she managed email marketing and led social media strategy at a national education nonprofit.

Alexis has a master’s in communications, with a specialization in journalism innovation, from Syracuse University. She graduated from Butler University with bachelor’s degrees in journalism and English creative writing.

Outside of work, she serves on the community outreach committee at Brightlane Learning, a nonprofit that supports students affected by homelessness and housing instability. Alexis lives in Indianapolis, Indiana, with her husband and rapidly growing collection of plants.
