Millions of residents in cities and rural areas lack quality sources of trusted news about what’s happening around them. Your crypto donation can help the American Journalism Project work to ensure that every community in our country has local journalism that represents, informs and engages the diverse public it serves.

- Are crypto donations tax-deductible?
- The IRS classifies cryptocurrencies as property, so cryptocurrency donations to 501(c)3 charities receive the same tax treatment as stocks. Donating cryptocurrency is a non-taxable event, meaning you do not owe capital gains tax on the appreciated amount and can deduct it on your taxes.
